Assetto Corsa Competizione

Assetto Corsa Competizione is the new official GT World Challenge videogame.

Thanks to the extraordinary quality of simulation, the game will allow you to experience the real atmosphere of the GT3 championship, competing against official drivers, teams, cars and circuits reproduced in-game with the highest level of accuracy ever achieved.
Sprint, Endurance and Spa 24 Hours races will come to life with an incredible level of realism, in both single and multiplayer modes.
Assetto Corsa Competizione will feature Blancpain GT Series’ 2018 and 2019 seasons.
Assetto Corsa Competizione is born from KUNOS Simulazioni's long-term experience, and it takes full advantage of Unreal Engine 4 to ensure photorealistic weather conditions and graphics, night races, motion capture animations, reaching a new standard in terms of driving realism and immersion, thanks to its further improved tyre and aerodynamic models.
Designed to innovate, Assetto Corsa Competizione will be set to promote eSports, bringing players at the heart of the GT World Challenge and putting them behind the wheel of Ferraris, Lamborghinis, McLarens and many other prestigious GT racing cars, all reproduced with outstanding level of detail.

Assetto Corsa Competizione is designed to faithfully recreate the performance and the driving experience of real GT World Challenge cars through a sophisticated mathematical model that accurately replicates tyre grip, aerodynamic impact, engine parameters, suspensions and electronics systems that determine vehicle balance, as well as the influence of mechanical damage on the car's drivability.

Unreal Engine 4 guarantees photorealistic rendering and an accurate representation of scenarios, car materials and weather conditions. Thanks to the multi-channel audio sampling of real GT cars, the game conveys captivating and immersive acoustic surroundings and realistic environmental effects.

Even the secondary details are faithfully reproduced to make you feel the thrill of being in the cockpit of a real racing car. Doors, windshield wipers, headlights, racing lights, racing equipment and control devices such as ABS, traction control, engine ignition and ECU mapping, are all under the driver’s management to assure the best performance and offer the player total control of the car.

Thanks to Laserscan technology, every official circuit is recreated with the utmost accuracy: all curbs and details perfectly fit their real counterparts to grant a gaming experience as faithful to reality as possible.

A well-structured ranking system will evaluate individual performance and driving behaviour to reward the most virtuous drivers and promote fair play in online competitions. The matchmaking function makes sure that you can compete with opponents of similar skill level and easily find online races to join, while the leaderboards will allow you to compare single-lap performance with drivers from all around the world with the same car, circuit and weather conditions.

Career, Championship and Free Play modes offer a complete and customizable gaming experience, also thanks to the tutorials and progressive aid levels that allow you to tailor AI opponent difficulty and vehicle stability control to your abilities. The Special Events will allow you to gain a first-hand experience of the most noteworthy real-life GT World Challenge.

Assetto Corsa Competizione ensures full compatibility with a wide range of peripherals from gamepads to professional steering wheels.

Motion capture technology is used to create the animations of mechanics and drivers in an even more realistic fashion, and guarantee a high level of player engagement during races, pit stops and driver changes.

Encouraged by the success of the Blancpain Endurance Series, which after its creation in 2011 quickly became the global reference for GT racing, world-renowned Swiss watch manufacturer Blancpain and the SRO Motorsports Group decided at the end of 2013 to extend their partnership to the Blancpain Sprint Series. From 2015, teams and drivers were also given the opportunity to compete for an overall Blancpain GT Series title. Varied grids were the result, with a host of respected GT teams and drivers at the start of each race. The Blancpain GT Series also saw an influx of young and talented drivers, making it a worldwide benchmark in GT3 racing.
With both the Blancpain GT Series Sprint Cup and Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup now sharing the same driver categories and points system, the ten-round Blancpain GT Series season – comprising five sprint events and five endurance events – crowns the world’s most complete GT drivers.
A Blancpain GT Series Sprint Cup event consists of two races of one hour each, while the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup races range from three-hour events through a 1000 km race to the season highlight of the Total 24 Hours of Spa, one of the world’s leading 24-hour races.

  • Assetto Corsa Competizione sets a new standard in the racing simulators genre. The driving feeling is unparalleled, amusing and passionate in its complexity, while the spasmodic search for detail exudes passion.

  • There’s more than just an endurance racing licence to distinguish Assetto Corsa Competizione from its predecessor. It’s more polished, more precise, and offers more scope for long-term single-player satisfaction.

  • Kunos Simulazioni brings the Blancpain Championship in our homes, and we don’t need either the GT superlicence to drive it.

  • Assetto Corsa Competizione offers the best sim racing experience on the market in terms of feeling, immersion and handling. There's still room to polish and improve some features and add more content, but Kunos Simulazioni just had a burning start and goes straight to the first corner leading the group.

  • Great simulation model with night driving and accurated weather conditions. Career mode and multiplayer aren't perfect and lack of some interesting feature.

  • Competition is the official game of the Blancpain GT Series, and remains overall a great product.

  • Assetto Corsa Competizione is an amazing simulator. However, some problems prevent the game from reaching votes of total excellence. In a few months we will probably have a perfect title.

  • The Blancpain Championship helps build more professional feelings to this race simulator. The overall physics, driving experience and AI are way more better than its predecessor.

  • If you are into "absolute realism" in racing videogames Assetto Corsa Competizione is the game for you. With laser scanned tracks and masterful driving simulation, it delivers what it promises. Be careful, though, because "absolute realism" means that this game is so difficult that is not suitable for the casual gamer.

  • It looks and sounds amazing, the driving is wonderful, but there are so many things still missing - namely enough content, playable multiplayer and technical polish.

  • Without having to pay for iRacing or rFactor, Assetto Corsa Competizione is as real as it gets when getting behind the wheel. Players just need to have the proper setup to make the most of it. The Blancpain GT Series sponsorship is both a blessing and a curse. The cars and tracks from the series are all here and offer a solid variety, but that’s all you get. The content in the game is bare bones even though being able to do a 24-hour race or a Sprint Race is nice. Competizione is all about the racing and that is what it does best. The car visuals, and more importantly the audio, provides the closest thing to being on a track.

  • Assetto Corsa Competizione is a must have for any car simulation fan. He breathes passion and realism. However, if it does not reach excellence at the time of this review, it is simply because it presents too many bugs. You will play it, sooner or later...

  • Gameplay-wise, this game is fantastic. Unfortunately, the modes for single player and multiplayer are very limited, and it does lack content. We hope this is fixed over time, since the core is very solid.

  • It is far from the large numbers of other simulators in terms of content and great aspirations in online championships, but achieves seriousness in multiplayer racing thanks to its servers and entry requirements. A serious and challenging experience, but little bulky in content.

  • Assetto Corsa Competizione pulls the limits of realism with a nice use of the Blancpain GT Series, but Kunos needs to improve the overall feeling of a videogame. The lack of matchmaking and a poor multiplayer system reduce his life in a long-middle term.

  • Assetto Corsa Competizione is a real racing simulation, which is not something that can be said for most games. But as it is an advantage for serious driving fans, it is also a major flaw, as it will hardly attract new players. The biggest flaw of the game is it’s low and inconsistent frame rate, which might push off even the biggest fans if not dealt with in the near future.

  • Hopefully, some of these issues will be addressed in subsequent patches but the current state of the game feels undercooked. The game is presented as providing a full GT3 experience but it does not. The competition in Assetto Corsa Competizione is sorely lacking. Assetto Corsa Competizione provides a satisfying driving experience but like it’s predecessor – Assetto Corsa, it leaves the driver a bit wanting at times.

  • The world textures are believable, the weather system generates a true environmental feel. The cars look great.

  • An interesting racing simulator that lacks a wider variety of options but still manages to retain part of what made the original Assetto Corsa a huge surprise a few years ago.

  • Assetto Corsa Competizione may someday be a top-notch racing simulator, but then again it might not. As of version 1.0, ACC is a study of the potential costs of releasing a product too soon. There is a lot of potential on display, but there is also a great deal left to be either fixed or finished. The current state of the VR implementation is very sub-par, and the most common form of head tracking, TrackIR, has not been implemented at all. Adopt a wait and see strategy for now - eventually/hopefully continued updates will fix the most egregious problems.

  • I really would like to fall in love with Assetto Corsa Competizione. And would it be only for the driving physics, this is a dream on four wheels. But bugs (loads), half-baked features and incomprehensible design decisions leave the impression that is still an obvious beta version with a hefty price tag.

  • Assetto Corsa Competizione has the skeleton of an exceptional racing simulation, but Kunos' efforts to flesh out the breathtaking engine and tight mechanics are ultimately paper-thin.
