  • While the games in their entirety truly stand the test of time, still show that they got “it” and (at least on consoles) have never looked this good, the bonus content could be more plentiful.

  • High definition textures do a solid job of re-introducing one of gaming’s enduring masterpieces to a younger generation of gamers. Whilst not providing adequate incentive to re-purchase for gamers who already own these time capsule titles, Bioshock: The Collection makes an ideal gift for introducing someone to the magical and never ending journey of PC Gaming.

  • BioShock: The Collection is the perfect edition for who haven't played any BioShock in the past.

  • Any gamer that hasn't had the chance to experience BioShock should heavily consider grabbing a copy of the collection. For starters it comes with all three games, including DLC, and is easily some of the best, unique, and memorable experiences in FPS gaming in the last ten years. For those that have played the series, you will probably have a high school reunion reaction like I did. You'll see new faces (better graphics), potentially new things to talk about (behind the scenes look at the creation of BioShock and playing all DLC you may have missed), or avoiding it completely.

  • A more than good porting.

  • Bioshock: The Collection is essential if you never played these games. For those who have, there's little new to find here.

  • The collection of all Bioshock games isn't a bad remaster, but neither is it an outstanding one. For the console crowd it’s a worthy addition to their collection, but for PC players it doesn't offer a big enough improvement.

  • Thankfully the games are pretty much the same as they were, but the details in this remaster are disappointing. The PC-version specifically has to deal with a lot of issues and technical disappointments, so we advise you to pick a console version.

  • CD-Action

A huge disappointment. I can recommend The Collection only to those who never played the original games, because the quality of the remasters does not justify paying for them again (even old bugs were left intact!). [12/2016, p.57]
