Goetia

The ruins of any village are the silent testament to its final moments. The ruins of Oakmarsh are no different. Their telling silence, the dust blanketing what was once a quiet village near Coventry.
The name of a manor and the family that lived within. A perverted and mad lineage, a clan whose final members devoted their life to mysticism and fanatical experiments. I am Abigail. Abigail Blackwood. Recently risen from the grave, I know nothing about the last 40 years of my family’s history... But obviously somebody is keen on seeing me lift the veil on what happened in Oakmarsh - to what led to the downfall of Blackwood Manor. And it seems like I have no choice in the matter…

  • Goetia is a beautifully crafted and intricately complex game set in a fantastically spooky world. It’s a must-play for horror and supernatural mystery enthusiasts, though not for those afraid of a little challenge.

  • I did like Goetia, and I especially liked the visuals which were truly entrancing. I also liked the plot and the way that I could play it for a prolonged period of time without realising just how long I’d been on it. That sheer feeling of being engrossed is something I look for in a game, especially with horror games being my favourite genre. Goetia can be difficult at points and can lead to frustrating moments, but overall I was definitely impressed.

  • A dash of fresh air and a game that's a must buy for fans of point&click adventures. The story and atmosphere will grasp the player until the very end, letting him visit various locales. Goetia isn't high-budget but delivers a high-excitement experience.

  • Goetia is a pleasant surprise by the french studio Sushee. It is a well-written, intelligent, challenging and attractive game. A good price too.

  • Goetia is a difficult point-and-click adventure that tests your resolve, with an engaging story and some beautiful visuals.

  • Goetia is a bewitching good point and click with a fantastic atmosphere and a few flaws. The difficulty of the whole experience can be repulsive to some players. But old school lovers who love to look around and read before finding a solution to a puzzle, will surely get what they want.

  • It has beautiful graphics, a truly intriguing storyline, and just enough creepiness to keep you on the edge of your seat. If you’re thinking of giving Goetia a try, I’d recommend turning off the lights and playing with headphones to really get the most out of it!
