Moon Hunters is a gem, and deserves to be a memorable constellation in the indie games scene.

Though the hardcore crowd may scoff at its unsophisticated combat system and the lack of a serious challenge, Moon Hunters' gorgeous presentation and unique brand of storytelling will absorb anyone who wishes to explore the countless sagas of an enchanting fantasy world.

It's a shame Moon Hunters isn't more polished on the technical side since it's a very interesting game we've really enjoyed.

A pixelated Diablo-like with a beautiful presentation and an unfortunate lack of content, Moon Hunters is hard to recommend to anyone other than people with three friends locally.

Moon Hunters doesn't give you the time to truly nestle into its world in one sitting, relying instead on the idea that they’ll keep coming back to uncover more and more with each successive playthrough. I wish I could say that at some point it all started to come together for me, but it didn't. It never felt like I was getting enough out of those playthroughs to make them truly worthwhile.

Moon Hunters is an artistic game that fails almost completely in delivering an interesting and fun gameplay. Maybe too ambitious, it may have a good story to tell but it’s deeply buried in too much time of uninspired gameplay.
