It is very easy to get into no matter how much or how little you play platformers. It is a game that you will want to replay over and over.
If you are keen of testing your patience and push the boundaries of your reflexes, Shadow Blade: Reload is a great choice. However, if chasing high-scores is not your thing, then the game has a few things to offer.
While it’s fun and only a little bit overpriced, it’s just so damn unoriginal. From the story to the combat to the platforming itself, there’s not much new going on.
You can see it was born on mobile platforms, but it's still and interesting and sometimes compelling experience.
Shadow Blade: Reload is a straightforward and satisfying platformer. It doesn't live up to its lofty stealth claims and the clichéd story doesn't do much beyond add some context for the action. But once you get a feel for how it plays and settle into the solid platforming mechanics, there’s a lot of fun to be had here.
Shadow Blade Reload is a fun game, but it’s not an interesting game.
Shadow Blade Reload is a fun game. It offers absolutely nothing new. But it’s still fun.
An enjoyable, pretty and well animated game that lacks any interesting, original mechanics that would justify a long-term relationship. [11/2015, p.37]
Players who want to complete the level and do so in the shortest amount of time will find a lot to love in this game and even more so in the game’s replay value. However, when the initial awe wears off, Shadow Blade: Reload comes across as a generic ninja-action game with an interesting art style, good controls and an otherwise underwhelming story.
A concoction of Shank, N, and Mark of the Ninja based on a weak mobile platformer.
